BULLETINS & HEALTH WARNINGS
PRESCRIBED
BURN SMOKE CAUSES DANGEROUSLY HIGH BLOOD
PRESSURE THAT LEADS TO FATAL HEART ATTACKS AND
STROKES
People of all ages living in smoky areas should
check their blood pressure regularly at home to
protect themselves from fatal heart attacks and
strokes. Prescribed burn smoke causes dangerously high blood
pressure elevations in normal healthy people
that leads to fatality without warning. Young people between
the ages of 25 and 45 are reporting high blood pressure caused by the
smoke and some have suffered heart attacks and
strokes. There are no warnings or symptoms.
People in smoky areas should check their blood
pressure in the evening at home after the smoke
lays down. Blood pressure may appear normal
(130/78) at a doctor's office outside the smoky
area but can easily elevate to stroke levels of
235/120 and higher while resting at home in the
smoky area.
Blood pressure monitors can be purchased at most
pharmacies for about $50.00.
THE
PHONY ADEQ SMOKE COMPLAINT PROCESS
The
Arizona Department of Environmental Quality
(ADEQ) is
the state agency responsible for controlling air quality in
the State of Arizona. They issue burn
permits to the Forest Service and regulate smoke
in sensitive areas. The ADEQ maintains a website
where they encourage citizens to
file online complaints. However, the ADEQ
complaint process has proven to be nothing more
than a misleading scam to suppress citizen
health complaints while allowing Forest Service
burns to rage out of control. The ADEQ does
nothing to resolve
citizen health complaints but does everything to suppress
them. For instance, the ADEQ secretly hides a
U.S. Forest Service employee in their Phoenix
office allowing the Forest Service control of burn permits and
citizen complaints. The Forest Service employee
uses Arizona state resources to issue prescribed
burn permits to his employer while suppressing
citizen health complaints allowing his employer
to burn more without proper regulation. In
short, the secret scam allows the U.S. Forest
Service to issue their own burn permits using
state resources while suppressing citizen
complaints that could stop the burns.
